Day Three Hundred Eight

For my design class, I have to design a layout for a recipe. Upon getting the assignment, I knew it was time. I had no choice but to make peanut butter pie. Here's a shot from the glorious (and terribly tempting) peanut butter pie photo shoot! Stay tuned on Facebook for images of the final recipe.

Day Three Hundred One

Coming out the south end of the 4th Ave Underpass, the walking dead march on during the All Souls Procession! This parade happens every year in Tucson, attracting about 10-15,000 people. Elaborate costumes, live music, and dancing are just a few of the reason that this local event is a blast. We even got to the front of the parade and danced like only dead people know how to!cson, autumn fall miller canyon arizona color red orange yellow one year photo sunday,

Went to visit my parents for the weekend and ended up trekking in the wilderness. Needless to say, it was stunning. This was taken in Miller Canyon, which is just slightly to the southwest of Sierra Vista.

Since I had such a shitty week... my coworker Dalia decided to throw a Pity Party in honor of everyone's shitty week. When you walked in the door, you had to get a sticker and write down what shitty things happened to you. Fun times!

During a brief zombie invasion, jolly Judy O'Dea from the original Night of the Living Dead was there to cheer us up. This post is dedicated to Judy, who, soon after this picture was taken, was eaten alive. We'll miss you Judy.

Day Two Hundred Sixty Six

On Wednesday, my grandma turns 87. So this weekend was party time. We went to the restaurant pictured above, which was decorated really nicely... but wasn't super nice on other things. The menus were stapled pieces of paper... while entrees ranged from 10.95 to 26.95. Not too classy. Also, tongue served on a volcano rock was on the menu. Strange. Our waiter welcomed us for the first time, the second time, and the last time (he really said that). Then he gave us all the wrong drinks and wrong food orders... plus he gave us all a round of tequila shots, not bothering to card me. But its cool. Hooray for birthday shots with grandma!

Day Two Hundred Fifty Nine

We had a dinner party on Friday! Everyone got together and put in a joint effort to make spinach crepes, salsa, and key lime pie. All of it was homemade from scratch! It was super fun and supremely delicious. We called it Lime Time 2009 (because of all the limes we used - see the bowl?). Oh, and I've been wondering if anyone will ever post on here again. Does anyone even check it? Sadddddddness. :(

I have no cool pictures for you, blog.

But this is an awesome house I had to take a picture of for Flagstaff's wind and solar tour. The owner's panels give 8.8 kWh per day- not too shabby.

Desert monsoon. AWYAYYAYAYAA!
Actually, I climbed a mountain and discovered that it was raining everywhere outside of Tucson city limits, but not in Tucson itself. This is what it looks like. Sad. Bring me some rain, Mexican hurricane!
