Using black and white conté, this photo will become a drawing over the course of the next 36 hours (although it hopefully won't take that much time to complete). I think I love art class a little more everyday.

I spent this week on the Omaha reservation, conducting energy surveys for six commercial buildings and ten residences. I take a picture of every house for the report, and at Unit 55, this little lady wanted to be in the picture.

In front of this blocked off road is a giant hole with a giant pipe in it spitting out very foul smelling water. Without the terrible smell and sound, you might think this was a peaceful view of a campus deserted for the summer.

I think this picture accurately sums up the last week. Out of the blue, I get a phone call from my Dad, who asks me if I want to go on vacation for a week. I quickly agreed, and by the end of the week, we had packed the car and ventured off to explore the greenery of Colorado. This particular shot (one of many, many shots) captures the beauty of summer in the Rocky Mountains at Lake Haviland, Colorado.

I know I post a lot of pictures of the peaks, but they're gorgeous - and the clouds around them are often so interesting. Like this one. It's huge - the peaks are more than 12,000 feet tall and this cloud dwarfs them.
