Day One Hundred Seventy Seven

Evening view from the shiny new bus transfer station. That's the "bathroom" for the bus drivers. That might be the worst part of their jobs.

Day One Hundred Seventy Six

Hello.
Sorry for the delay.
I was too busy Observing.
-Sam
P.S. Notice the wonderful newspaper office decor. I am one mighty intern.

Day One Hundred Seventy Five

Using black and white conté, this photo will become a drawing over the course of the next 36 hours (although it hopefully won't take that much time to complete). I think I love art class a little more everyday.

Next week I'll post a link to the finished product.

Day One Hundred Seventy Four

I spent this week on the Omaha reservation, conducting energy surveys for six commercial buildings and ten residences. I take a picture of every house for the report, and at Unit 55, this little lady wanted to be in the picture.

Day One Hundred Seventy Three

There's a lot of inspiration to find in Flagstaff. I'm finding
out more and more how grateful I am to have stayed here
this summer. Awesome car.

Day One Hundred Seventy

In front of this blocked off road is a giant hole with a giant pipe in it spitting out very foul smelling water. Without the terrible smell and sound, you might think this was a peaceful view of a campus deserted for the summer.

Day One Hundred Sixty Nine

Hello, Monday here.
While the internet was failing in Bisbee, I went on a walk with my parents.
I must admit I had a pretty good time.

Day One Hundred Sixty Eight

Bisbee Gay Pride Weekend.
It was a little less up close and personal than I had hoped, however, if you look closely you can see a full moon.
(wink wink.)

Day One Hundred Sixty Seven

View from Hwy 77. Arizona is gorgeous, but Nebraska has a beauty all its own. I want to go as many places as I can in this lifetime, and incorporate all the sights and smells and feelings into me. Live never to settle, but never to miss what's right in front of me. Embrace it all.

Day One Hundred Sixty Three

So far, summer is kicking my ass. I've had migraines almost every day. I've missed dancing, meetings, and even my post last week. If only I had some of this Grapefruit and Coconut Angel Pie left to comfort me...

Day One Hundred Sixty Two

The effects of mint ice cream and wilderness walks are quite startling.
I advise you to be on high alert. Soon after this photo was taken Kimber ran into the forest in hopes of becoming the Big Foot of Arizona.

Day One Hundred Sixty One

Yesterday we tubed the Salt River and were mistaken for Europeans because of our sophisticatedness.
(But really, we were.)

Day One Hundred Fifty Four

I think this picture accurately sums up the last week. Out of the blue, I get a phone call from my Dad, who asks me if I want to go on vacation for a week. I quickly agreed, and by the end of the week, we had packed the car and ventured off to explore the greenery of Colorado. This particular shot (one of many, many shots) captures the beauty of summer in the Rocky Mountains at Lake Haviland, Colorado.

Lucy was helping me do a little weeding of the garden.

Day One Hundred Fifty Two

My second choice for funny angles week.
Why does the summer make me so lazy?

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Day One Hundred Fifty One

I have traveled back in time to post a picture of Lake Haviland... again. Because I loved it so much.

(P.S. Don't forget to post!)

Day One Hundred Fifty

This is only a small fraction...
I rolled $92 in coins today and cashed those suckers in
so I could buy a 2nd Blink-182 ticket.
Seeing them only once will not suffice.
Am I 14 or what?

Day ONe Hundred Forty Nine

I know I post a lot of pictures of the peaks, but they're gorgeous - and the clouds around them are often so interesting. Like this one. It's huge - the peaks are more than 12,000 feet tall and this cloud dwarfs them.

Day One Hundred Forty Eight

Driving with no hands is not recommended.
Have a good week.
Be sure to contact anyone in the group if you are unable to make your post.
